About the Position:
As our company's next step, we will be releasing tools to influencers and thought leaders worldwide enabling them to create compelling rich media at low cost and with little effort. We are looking for a Qwiki evangelist to activate key influencers to create Qwikis using these tools. As Director of Publisher Relations, you will be the face of the company presenting to top publishing organizations worldwide as well as the day-to-day contact for our growing community, working closely with both to create beautiful Qwiki content. You will also interface with Qwiki’s retained PR firm and play a key role in developing on-brand communication strategies to nurture and grow the Qwiki corpus. This is a senior level position that reports directly to the CEO and COO out of Qwiki's New York office.

About the right candidate:

Your tool belt holds many languages and Unix tools. You have a working knowledge of algorithms in general, and real experience about data mining, NLP, machine learning, text analysis, and/or computational linguistics. You can manage both code and large amounts of data. You are awesome with a single computer, and downright scary with hundreds of them. You know how to move fast and find the shortcut when needed. You can whip up a Web page scraper with one hand behind your back while holding a conversation about the fine points of Map Reduce versus Hadoop. You see no shame in writing a single-use script, but you can design an entire infrastructure to crawl and analyze and tame a lot of data from many sources, and keep it tidy over time.
