We are looking for an ambitious, creative, hard-working and intelligent individual with a strong, management-level website development background to join us as a member of our founding senior executive team, reporting directly to the President and CEO. This person will have primary responsibility for all technical aspects of our operations and will play a critical role in strategic planning as well as functioning as the primary interface between the non-technical senior management team and our development personnel.

Who We Are

We are a development-stage company building the first Web 2.0 resource aggregation and collaboration platform for lawyers. Our innovative approach to law content aggregation and delivery has the potential to be highly disruptive to the current marketplace and earn us significant market share in the $256 billion legal services industry.

We currently have a functional prototype and are in the process of obtaining venture financing to complete the development and commercialization of our products and services. The company is led by a team of attorneys and finance professionals with public company senior executive level experience. Our prototype has been developed by a team based in India. We have taken our prototype as far as possible without the involvement of an experienced, management-level technical person, and we now seek to add such a person to our team.

Senior Technology Consultant – Part-time Project in Dallas

Overview

Our website, a Joomla! CMS, LAMP (PHP5, Zend) based aggregation and social media platform, has been built with the aid of a development team in India and is currently in private beta. We need a senior technology consultant to review the work of the development team, consult and oversee remaining site development progress and/or assist us in hiring a full-time in-house lead developer. The senior technology consultant position requires the experience necessary to (i) assess and ensure the functionality of the site now through public launch, (ii) advise as to the most desirable site architecture to guarantee site scalability and long-term stability and (iii) asses the credentials of in-house lead developer candidates. This is a very flexible, part-time contract opportunity for a responsive, experienced professional. We would expect the project to require no more than a few hours of work per week. Duration of the engagement will depend on the nature of the work required but it anticipated to range from two to four months. If interested, the senior technology consultant would be considered for transition into our full-time, salaried in-house lead developer role.

Who We Are

A Dallas-based, venture-backed start-up company, we are gearing up for a public launch in Q1 or Q2 2012. Our site will facilitate the crowdsourcing of certain professional resources of all types, including videos, links and documents, and organize these resources through user ratings and granular tagging. Co-founders have deep domain experience but limited technical know-how. We need an experienced consultant to advise us on technical issues, both high-level and low-level, in the final stretch to market.
