Executive Assistant in Santa Monica

Based in Santa Monica, California (aka Silicon Beach) bLife is at the heart of the tech start-up world. We are developing a mobile, science-based subscription service designed to help users manage stress and improve well-being. Thus, the ideal candidate will have a commitment to solving real-world, big issues using the most advanced mobile technology and innovative design. You need to have impressive organizational skills, exceptional writing skills and engaging people skills. You must be charismatic and able to switch as this position will require interaction with a variety of professional and personality types, from entrepreneurs to press to venture investors. You need to be flexible but extremely hard-working and proactive. You will be expected to flow from one area to another without getting too tripped up. You will need to adapt to new situations and so you must be a quick learner. You will need to be able to go from scheduling and trip planning to marketing data analysis and customer service in the same day, often in the same hour. You will deal with a high volume of emails and in-person visitors, so you'll need to be good at remembering names. You should not expect to work a typical 9 to 5 work week. It is more important that you “get stuff done” than worry about face time in the office. The start up atmosphere is thrilling and great things are happening in this space but this isn’t for everyone. You must have a strong belief in the work we do and a dedication to success. Creativity is important and a background in marketing is a plus. We know how to work hard and play hard. You will find yourself challenged and fascinated on a daily basis as there is always something new to learn.

We are seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to design the interface for a new personal development platform. We have acquired a company (www.signalpatterns.com) and will be redesigning the site and its related mobile apps in addition to building out our broader platform. This will involve a redesign of the portal, and will integrate the latest social and Web 2.0 functionality.
