Brave New Films and Brave New Foundation is looking for a part-time Web Developer to implement our online efforts. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for the right person to use their tech talents to help build vital progressive infrastructure. Our part-time need is 10-15 hours for the week of April 18 and then full time for approximately May 5th – May 17th. The need is to maintain our current websites and use MySQL to pull email list segments from our database while our current developer goes on paternity leave.

Responsibilities include:
- Build HTML landing pages with light PHP and Javascript for our campaigns
- Manage ecommerce infrastructure by setting up donation pages on our sites and integrating them to our database
- Address technical side of our email deployments and assure proper list segment assigned
- Develop MySQL queries to pull segments of our emails list

Skill set:
- Solid experience with HTML, PHP, CSS databases, and Javascript (for landing page validation).
- Excellent knowledge of MySQL
- Ability to quickly develop a landing page that integrates with our email and donation tools
- Good attention to detail
- Enjoys fast-paced environment of politics

We use technologies and services like PHP, MySQL, Wordpress, Disqus, ActionKit, Google Analytics, and Authorize.net.

We care less about writing perfect code or complying with every standard, and more about birthing the clever idea that'll wreak havoc on the establishment.

Politics moves fast. We have some pretty intense deadlines, so we're pragmatic. Think startup meets non-profit political rabble rousers. We also get along well with people that have an excellent work ethic and juggle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Our offices are located in the shadow of Sony studios in Culver City, CA (LA) and the person can be located anywhere within the U.S.
