Requirements:
- After-hours, weekend and on-call responsibilities as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent
- Experience with designing, implementing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting mission-critical, 24x7x365, large-scale environments for web-based businesses
- Experience with Linux system administration in an Internet facing, high volume, high growth environment. This includes installation, configuration, hardening, patching, tuning, and monitoring of Linux based systems
- 3+ years of Linux system administration
- 1+ years of administering Apache/Nginx and Java-based application environments
- 1+ years of administering MySQL including backups, replication and ability to create/execute SQL queries and interpret the results
- Cloud hosting experience
- Understand internet security
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and open source monitoring tools such as Nagios a plus, familiarity with MongoDB a huge plus
- Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills (familiarity with tools like strace, pstack, tcpdump, etc.)
- Utilize strong networking skills with experience in the major TCP protocols (HTTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.)
