Sustainability Silicon Valley is seeking a leader to volunteer in the area of developing content for their new online sustainability website, EcoCloud.

The Content Manager will work closely with the EcoCloud Editor, Technical Team Leader, Content Team Leads, and EcoCloud Team to select content, prioritize content, and edit content submitted by others. The Content Team Leader will help to structure and develop the content team. Ultimately the Content Team Leader will have Content Team Contributors in the areas of water, energy, materials, and sustainability. The Content Manager is our most critical need, and prior to bringing an Editor on board, the Content Manager will also be the Editor.

EcoCloud is looking for a UI Developer to lead the design of our highly scalable and secure cloud initiative. We are looking for bright, motivated individuals who have a keen interest in client side development on web content management applications. The UI Developer will join a high caliber team and work closely with the EcoCloud Director, Marketing and PR team, SSV Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer.

This is a volunteer position which enables qualified candidates to gather experience and to prove their capabilities in a non-profit organization environment in the field of sustainability. The ideal candidate should commit a minimum of 10-20 hours per week working at the SSV Santa Clara office location. It is preferred that the candidate has his/ her own laptop and communications tools.

Additionally, the graphic designer will develop the visual elements and layout of marketing materials such as newsletters and booth displays, as needed. The graphic designer will also assist the various content leaders to ensure new pages developed in Ning are visually consistent with the EcoCloud site as a whole, as needed.
