R&D Engineer (optical materials and devices) in Menlo Park

Glint is a small startup company developing advanced smart materials for a wide range of optics applications. We are seeking a talented and highly-motivated individual to join our R&D effort on novel optical materials for solar concentrators. This government-funded research project will apply Glint’s proprietary materials technology to develop very low-cost concentrator photovoltaic (CPV) systems.

We are looking for candidates who are creative and inventive, with broad knowledge in the physical sciences, top-notch laboratory research skills, and the drive required to excel in an early-stage startup environment that is dynamic and challenging, but also very rewarding.

The R&D Engineer will plan and execute experimental studies, develop equipment and procedures for material processing, and design and evaluate new devices. This position offers a unique opportunity to participate in the development of a potentially transformative new optical technology.

Full time hire preferred, part-time work also available.

We seek a talented and highly-motivated individual to help lead our R&D efforts. This position will contribute primarily to the development of our unique self-tracking solar concentrator architecture, which aims to enable very low-cost concentrator photovoltaic (CPV) systems.
