Jill/Jack of All Trades in New York

eFlirt Expert helps singles date online and transition offline to awesome dating experiences. We're a growing startup -- seriously growing. Good Morning America featured us on Valentine's Day and got an exclusive interview with our first engaged couple. Entrepreneur Magazine dedicated an entire page to the founder of our company. And The New York Times wanted our advice for their readers in The City Room. We've been featured in nearly 200 publications in 2 years. We're leading the industry for advice and have helped hundreds of singles overcome Okcupid profile hurdles, flirt on Facebook and educate them on the latest mobile apps to enhance their dating lives. And today, we're bringing on a new team member -- description below.

True to form, eFlirt Expert's "Jill (or Jack) of All Trades" is a no-two-moments-are-the-same position. Part business development, part journalism, part community manager, part administrative support and 110% creativity, the Jill/Jack of All Trades is founder, Laurie Davis' right hand. Whether copyediting a book proposal for ed board submission at a big 6 publisher, strategizing the most unique panel SXSW has ever seen or prepping Laurie on-the-go for a national TV interview, excitement is always at the office door. One hour, you may be writing a client's dating profile and the next, working with Laurie to perfect her Startup Weekend pitch. Later, you may be planning a NYC singles mixer, supporting the development of our newest division (eFlirt Engine), creating a video marketing campaign, curating Sexy Techies, interviewing interns or morphing into a sounding board for fresh concepts.

But beyond the mere tasks at hand, applicants' core capabilities should encompass the following:

Passionate go-getter. Innovative thinker. Status quo defier.
Thriving collaborator. Ultimate multi-tasker. Detail diva.
Research romeo. Tech applicator. Next-gen enthusiast.
Relationship cultivator. Empathic listener. Psychology absorber.

eFlirt Expert is not-your-typical working environment. We brainstorm over wine. We make our own hours (though it is 40 a week). We go where the inspiration takes us, whether that's at home in PJ's, a membership only executive lounge in midtown or Central Park on a Fall afternoon.

And the gratification for a job well-done is much more than a fist pound. Unlike any other profession you'll encounter, we're rewarded by watching love happen before our eyes and knowing we were part of the magic on the road to engagements, marriages and generations of children to come.

View full job description | View company profile
