Rails Developer in Cambridge

The Rails Developer works on BeneShip's Ruby on Rails-based
transportation management system, with a focus on implementing
functionality, extending integrations with partner services,
maintaining code, and supporting customers. BeneShip's application is
currently in beta, and as an early addition to our team the Rails
Developer would have significant input on the direction and
architecture of our product.

This is a full-time, salaried position for someone with rock-solid web
experience, a familiarity with Ruby on Rails, and an ability to wear
many hats, including the occasional ill-fitting one. To have all this,
you're probably a passionate individual who's been building web
applications in your day job and for fun for at least a couple of
years, and your reaction to tasks that are outside of your comfort
zone falls more in the realm of excitement than anxiety. You're also
probably more likely to take a risk and maybe succeed than to sit on
your haunches and worry about failure. These characteristics
are far more important than your level of comfort with Rails.

A little more about us: we're a small group of 20-somethings who have
somehow found ourselves in the good graces of and partnered with some
of the most powerful shipping companies on the planet, which we're
using to try to open up enterprise shipping solutions to the small
and medium business world. We currently have a swanky shared office
space by the Galleria inhabited mostly by techs. You'd need to either
be in the Boston area or willing to relocate to be considered. Once

good places to eat in East Cambridge.
