Gobbler is a small startup focused on making a killer desktop app for media creators. Think Dropbox + Lightroom + YouSendIt. We’ve already started to gain a lot of momentum despite being in Beta - with what we’ve been getting from our users and the interest from strategic partners, let’s just say that we’re very happy with the direction that things are going. We are well funded and have a sick group of investors.

We are located in Hollywood, CA are looking for a general intern who is interested in helping us out. If you are coming to Los Angeles or are already located here and interested in helping us, get our attention and apply now.

Things you might be helping with at Gobbler are:

-Working with the Social Media, Business Development, Community Management, Recruiting, SEO/Analytics, Engineering, QA, and Help Desk Staff
-Building and Organizing documents and workflow’s for project’s
-Manage lists, forums, pages, projects, tasks, and any other things thrown your way
-Research
-More Research
-Documenting and putting your research to work

Requirements

-Experience working with things like Google, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, the Internet
-Experience writing, reading, working, and applying general knowledge
-Knowledge of the latest technology and business practices

Nice-to-Have’s

-A Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social accounts
-Google Analytics and SEO experience
-Photoshop and Design Experience
-Customer Service and Support experience

What we are looking for is someone who

Is highly organized
Has google analytics experience in tracking performance of campaigns
Customer service experience and attitude
HTML & Photoshop is a plus
Must be a critical thinker
Must be able to juggle multiple tasks

Some tasks you would be helping with are

Help managing the Gobbler Community
Help manage list of forums, blogs and web communities
Bug/issue reporting and monitoring
Help manage the Gobbler Facebook/Twitter Accounts
Assist in integrating social media into marketing initiatives
Research & write content for communities

Senior Software Engineer - C++ in Los Angeles

Are you crazy about building applications? Are clean user interfaces and solid code your passion? Than keep reading.

Gobbler is a small startup focused on making a killer desktop app for media creators. Think Dropbox + Lightroom + YouSendIt. We’ve already started to gain a lot of momentum despite being in Beta - with what we’ve been getting from our users and the interest from strategic partners, let’s just say that we’re very happy with the direction that things are going. We are well funded and have a sick group of investors.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about code. You should have plenty of experience with C++ since your code will be communicating with the core, cross-platform part of our app. Working knowledge Mac or PC UI systems like Cocoa or WPF/Winforms and knowledge of QT is a big plus. You should also be comfortable in higher level languages like Objective-C and/or C#.

We’re still in beta, so you’ll be able to get in at the ground floor and have a real impact. In the long run, we’re looking for someone who can grow into a role responsible for all of our client apps - Mac, PC, and eventually mobile. If this interests you, you’ll need to have a intuitive grasp of usability and an obsession with a great user experience. And since our founders are extremely well-connected to the music industry, you might be getting feature requests directly from some of the biggest names in music.

Requirements:

Excellent knowledge of C++
Experience building Mac or PC applications
Experience with multi threaded programming
Knowledge of algorithms and code optimization
Recommended:

Great knowledge of Mac and Windows UI paradigms and tradeoffs
Experience with a higher level language like Objective-C or C#
Great aesthetic sense and usability experience
Working knowledge of QT
Mobile development experience
