SEEKING INTERNS FOR TOMS SHOES + AMERICAN IDOL PUBLISHING LOVE CHILD! in New York

Publishing tech start up with a philanthropic edge seeks energetic self-starter interns to join our team.

About the role: This is an anything and everything king of role, not limited to but including: author recruitment, building our user base, content creation and management, working with our non profit partners, establishing relationships in the industry, developing collaborations, managing social media, planning events and workshops, and much more.

Internships are full time, located in Soho, and for a 3 month minimum commitment. Those who meld well with our team will be considered for full time employment (maybe even sooner than 3 months). We need talented people to fill roles in the following areas as soon as possible:

1. Business development
2. Technology (web developers, graphic design, video production)
3. Non profit operations
4. Community management
5. Content management
6. Author relations

About you: You are a fun, energetic, intelligent, hardworking go-getter with a passion for publishing, technology and a desire to change the world. You are the type of person who starts clubs and organizations, organizes events for your friends, and when you see a problem with something, you fix it. You are someone who’s not interested in a 9-5, or in bureaucracy. You want to work for a young, innovative company where everyone works hard and works together. We are looking for someone who is equally excited about our concept as we are, and who will grow with us as we continue to expand. Simply, you should be prepared to get back what you give.
