Senior Rails Web Developer at Rapid Growth Pot in New York

Gust, the industry leading global platform for funding startups, is seeking a Senior Web Developer to help lead the build out of our NYC tech team. The right candidate is someone that eats, drinks and sleeps agile based fast track, full stack pair programming and wants to build cutting edge products with Rails. You will be working with and leading a lean, agile, Pivotal Labs trained team ready to revolutionize and strengthen our approach to building products for investors and entrepreneurs. We want you to lead the overall development efforts in coordination with product management and lead the growth of the team’s processes. We're looking for brilliant software engineers who have at least five years working with Ruby on Rails. Your core responsibilities include developing web applications, working directly with product teams to manage requirements, pair programming, and refactoring. Programming in ruby on rails, javascript (particularly jQuery) with a test-driven and behavior-driven development approach is key. Significant experience with web application development using a variety of languages and tools, java, and strong opinions on how to write code is needed.

Product Analyst in New York

Gust is looking for a Product Analyst to join its Product Management team. We’re looking for someone with a strong quant (e.g., Statistics, Economics, etc.) or Computer Science background who can help us understand the vast sea of data our systems generate every day. The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative research skills, and be accustomed to thinking about human behavior and how it maps to product and service usage patterns.

We’ll ask you to get inside our data infrastructure, understand the structure, and use the power of that information to help us learn more about our customers, their usage patterns and the products they use conversion patterns. In addition, there will be opportunities to develop public facing data products like stats, indices, trends, that you will be a part of developing. Thus, familiarity with writing SQL queries and interpreting results is essential. The insights you provide will directly inform what products we build, how we run our business. The ideal candidate will have a passion for finding patterns and opportunities in the data.

User Experience Designer or Director in New York

Gust is searching for a talented User Experience Designer or Director who eats, drinks and sleeps the user experience of online products and services. At Gust, we help entrepreneurs showcase their uniqueness to connect and obtain funding with early stage investors. In addition, we support investor’s needs for an efficient and effective deal review process. If you have a history of designing highly engaging products that combine strong social elements, ecosystem development, ecommerce friction conversion design (more the better) then this is probably the team you want to join. You will be getting in on the ground floor and taking a leadership role in establishing how we work, what gets built and then share in the success.

In this role, you will lead the overall UX of our entrepreneur and investor facing products by bringing to the table the ability to completely envision and design a wide range of experiences such as networking, communication, following, workflow, ecommerce and more. This position requires serious UX chops as it goes beyond simple page level designs. You will need to show that you can unify several features into a cohesive, compelling and engaging product experience. This role will be part of a team of product, creative and dev professionals that will collaborate on bringing these products to market. You will need to be a team a player and a great communicator to be successful here. You will have enormous control to craft and own the overall user experience as we design new products and redesign existing ones.
