We are creating a ground-breaking web application that will change the way that small to medium size business owners operate their businesses.

We have world-class graphic designer, and the necessary contacts and marketing skill to make this fly once it has been developed. All we need is your genius to build a world-class product.

We are about to commence work on a large scale web application in Rails. Mockups have been created for most of the user interface (literally hundreds of images), and work is currently under way to develop its features.

We looking for an experienced Lead Developer & System Architect who will be able to analyse the mockups and specifications we have produced and assist in defining the architecture of this system to ensure it's successful implementation.

This is a long-term role, not a one-off contract position.

We're looking for someone who has already worked on large web applications, and has previous experience managing small-medium software teams through challenging projects.

We are using Ruby on Rails, so experience in this framework is essential, as is developing large-scale web applications. You also need to be knowledgeable of front-end web technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML, etc). Most important, you need to have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

It would be great if you are familiar with agile software development methodologies, and can help to organise our team to successfully adopt these in practice.
