We are Green Barrel Energy, and we need an amazing intern.

About us:
Start-up located near Time Square.
Currently working with Bryant Park to create clean technology products for parks and public spaces throughout the city.
Lots. Going. On.

About the work:
Initial work will center on programming a microcontroller and developing an energy management strategy across an electrical system. As we move forward you will work on the technical and creative development of future projects and products. You have the option to work off-site, away from our office, but we ask for you to stop by at least 1-2 times a week. We want to offer you the chance to work when you feel most motivated and your mind can be best focused on the task that we have assigned you. This internship will be unpaid for the rest of the spring semester, but there will be opportunity for compensation in the future, including a paid summer position.

About you:
motivated
a creative problem solver
practically best friends with arduino
a C++ whiz
some other programming language whiz, too
really comfortable with circuit design and relevant software (OrCAD, EagleCAD, etc.)
gets things done
loves and lives in New York City
looking to get to know a potential long-term employer
