Full Stack Web Developer for Fashion/Media Startup in New York

VFILES is looking for a full stack web developer to join our team. We are building an innovative platform for fashion collaboration and inspiration through imagery, video and a unique take on search. You will help us on all aspects of our platform: from producing slick front end code to solving interesting data modelling problems on the server side.

VFILES is combing a unique blend of original and partner content, archival imagery, fashion information, social experience and other forms. We constantly look for new and unique ways to experience our content and leverage the data behind it. You’ll be working directly with our CTO and collaborating with our team as we build out our platform using Rails and the usual culprits on Heroku. We know that good development is not about the language or the framework but about knowing how to build great software. So whether you know Ruby, Python, Java, C#/.NET, Scala, Node, PHP or anything else our values are crafting well written code with reuse in mind, putting OOP principles and design patterns to use. We want to hear from you. Culture, creativity and collaboration are important to us. This job is about bringing ideas to the table and implementing them in an agile way so we can do and deliver great things.
