JavaScript Web App Programmer & Co-founder in Carlsbad

We are seeking a Javascript (and more!) web programmer to join our already revenue-generating (and almost profitable) startup.

Our company, Injekt (www.injekt.com), has built a developer platform that makes it easy to develop and run Injekt apps that run on other web sites. It’s like GreaseMonkey on steroids but also with a solid business model behind it.

One of our Injekt Apps, FriendsChecker, has been installed more than 300,000 times and is very popular with users. We think there is an opportunity to build many more apps like this ourselves, and also to nurture a developer community to create thousands of these apps and you can enhance or edit any web site as you want it with Injekt.

We are currently a two person team (CEO/technical guy and CMO/marketing guy) with a small office in Carlsbad, CA (downtown Carlsbad Village; just north of San Diego) plus a highly-leverage offshore team (all programmers). This is our CEO’s 5th startup (with 2 of his prior 4 being moderately successfully) and the 2nd startup for our CMO (he was employee #2 at his first that was very successful).

What we are looking for

We’re open to 100% office, some telecommuting, or 100% telecommuting. I suppose we’d prefer someone local to San Diego/Orange County so we could meet in person, but we have pretty good processes in place to manage remote workers so either is fine. If remote, you’ll need to assure us that you have a good place to work from with reliable Internet/etc.

We also expect that you will:

• Be available for a short Skype voice call every working day. Ideally sometime between 9am and 11am PT (California), but we can be flexible on this.
• Be capable of being online via Skype while you work for urgent questions that we’d like to be able to resolve in real-time via Skype chat.
• Provide daily check-ins (or more often) for the code completed that day (even if still a work in progress).
• Use Rally (rallydev.com) to review current priorities and new bugs.
