Technical Co-founder to join a former Googler taking on a huge opportunity in Seattle

I am building a very cool service to help the world save money on their grocery shopping. Every family spends at least $100/week on groceries and there is a huge opportunity to make it more efficient and fun with technology. It is a huge market controlled by large, slow moving companies where technology is only just now making an impact. A perfect place for a scrappy startup to innovate and experiment in.

We have a awesome prototype that is only weeks away from launching. It has a large backend service component driving a mobile front end. Everyone we describe the idea to thinks it is something they would love to use and are eager for us to launch.

Our plan is to launch in an unusual way to make some “noise” and iterate on the product for a couple of months. Then we will be securing angel funding from various people in the Bay Area and Seattle. In order to secure smart money, we need a great team, so that’s where you come in.

Currently we are a team of one fulltimer, with three contractors (technical & UI) As the only fulltime person on the project, a bit about me. I am a former employee of Google and eBay who has been building, hacking and hustling for the past 1.5 years on various projects. I have a technical educational background and am passionate about building products. I code and can play in the full stack, from SQL DB admin to front end JQuery or Android development. I describe myself as a competent hacker who is knows his limits - I’m not a trained software engineer though. I have personally built and designed the prototype myself, using my technical contractors only on small pieces. In short, I will be hardcore building right along side anyone on the team. I also have a business degree and worked in the Valley for 6 years with good connections among the right people, so I try to fully play the field when needed.
