Website startup looking for asp.net coder equity partner in New York

I’m looking for an asp.net coder for a newly launched startup website.

I should note now that this position is for equity only… It’s for someone who wants to be a partner in a startup. I’m not looking to pay a salary for a coder, I’m looking to give a percentage of the company (15%+). It’s a risk and a venture, but if you help the website turn into something big, it can surely be very profitable.

Some brief information about the website: It launched June 25. The url is www.polltopia.com, and in short, it’s a website where users can create polls on any number of topics (politics, sports, music/entertainment, business, technology, etc.) for other people around the world to vote in. You can also view statistics about who voted in each poll, such as votes by state/country, gender and age group. Users can comment on polls as well. The site uses a secret algorithm to ensure that even non-registered users can only vote once (even if they delete their cookies, clear their history, etc.). Sharing a poll is easy via Facebook, Twitter or Google+, and in the future we want to add video embedding on polls, poll challenges (who can get the most amount of votes on their polls for some sort of prize), and embedding our polls on somebody’s own website.

I really need someone who can be in charge of basically everything in terms of coding. My other partner, the one who made the website virtually from scratch, recently became terminally ill, and he can no longer work. You’ll have to familiarize yourself with the website and all of the previous coding, then help add to/edit it. I already have some changes in mind that I’d like to make (as mentioned above), but since my partner can no longer work, I need somebody else.

Partner/Investor/Marketer in New York

Looking for a person in charge of marketing for a newly founded and rather revolutionary social media website.

Person must a) invest their own money for marketing (advertising, press releases, etc.) and b) act as CMO and manage marketing strategies.

Must dedicate sufficient time/money into this project.

As a partner, you'd receive equity in the company (not a salary quite yet).

We’re a 2-person team based out of New York.

Again, I’m looking to give a percentage of the company, not give a salary per se, though you will take in any percentage of your ownership in our profits. I need somebody with vast experience in marketing, who can bring about great ideas on how we can publicize the site, and who will essentially single-handedly or with some of my help do what’s necessary to make the website big. I’m probably looking to give about 15% in equity, but it’s negotiable (and it would be more if you take the risks and incur the costs of marketing, whatever you determine that they should be). We’d also have to negotiate some sort of guidelines, so that you don’t just take 15% for doing nothing, something along the lines of you get your percentage if x amount of people visit the website regularly (we’ll negotiate that).

After you help it become big and popular, we’ll go ahead with pitching the idea to venture capitalist firms and angel investors, and we’ll expand from there with you still and always owning the percentage that we agreed upon.

I’d prefer if you were in Manhattan so I can meet you in person and discuss everything, but a remote partner can work as well. Also, we don’t have an office, but you’re always welcomed to work out of my East Village apartment along with me if you’d prefer that.
