Lead Mobile UI Artist / Designer in San Francisco

Who we are
Anki, Inc. is a robotics company in San Francisco using artificial intelligence to develop revolutionary consumer products. We were founded on the belief that robotics and artificial intelligence will completely transform many industries and create entirely new product categories. As the price of computing hardware continues to plummet, we believes that there is an incredible opportunity to leverage these disruptive technologies to create products that entertain and delight consumers, yet are producible at mass market price points. Our first product line uses cutting edge robotics and AI to make the world’s most intelligent “smart toy”. Whereas most toys are static physical objects with limited or no interactivity, Anki’s technology brings toys to life by enabling them with many of the capabilities only seen in video games. This creates a rich new play experience that combines the interactivity and long-term excitement of video games with the appeal of real, physical toys. Founded by three PhDs in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon, Anki was incorporated in 2010 and expects to ship its first product in late-spring 2013. With recent backing from Andreessen-Horowitz, Anki plans to continue investing in consumer robotics by developing fantastic products that make life easier and more fun.

What you’ll do
We’re looking for a UI Art Lead to help us bring the next generation of robotics to the consumer market. You will be part of a small, highly agile team of software and hardware engineers working at the cutting edge of play. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about owning the entire UI cycle – from concept to prototyping to final, pixel-perfect delivery. You’ll bring your significant design and art skills bear on the software our customers will use to interface with our products and will perhaps have the largest impact on the look and feel of the product of anyone on the team.

Interested Candidates should email a resume and portfolio link to artjobs@anki.com

View full job description | View company profile
