Looking for an Experienced CTO / Co-Founder / Developer for a Mobile App Startup in New York

We are building a mobile application (starting with iPhone) called PingmeGram. PingmeGram offers users a way to get notified in real-time of important messages that they care about from companies or people they are interested in. You decide which topics to subscribe to (weather alerts, traffic jams, product discounts, tickets to events, job postings, etc), and how you want to get notified for each (e.g. you may want to get notified via email on some topics or via SMS on others).

This app will be most useful to people who feel lost in a blizzard of information coming from a variety of sources, and that feel they get their information from too many sources. So the target audience is people with very busy lives that have a lot on their mind, but do not want to miss the really important stuff.

The end-goal is to enter the fast-growing mobile advertising market, set to grow from $1bn to $11bn in 4 years, as companies shift more of their ad spend to mobile

The startup is in prototype phase - we have a working iPhone version that is being tested before launch to the App store.

Just to give you a sense of my background: I currently work as a project manager consultant for McKinsey & Co (3 years), I have an MBA from Wharton, and an engineering degree from Cornell University. Previously, I worked 3 years as a software developer, so I have a good mix of business and technology background

View full job description | View company profile
