Specializing in complex, leading edge projects for early stage venture-backed technology companies, Cogniance’s consultants have developed a proven track record of delivering complex projects on-time, on-budget and on-spec. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We are looking for a part-time (15-20 hours/week) Business Development Intern to be part of an international effort to scale the multi-million dollar sales machine at Cogniance.  You will play a key role in our Boston sales office, working closely with our Sales Manager on generating and qualifying leads, as well as conducting on-ground business development by attending industry events.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The intern would ideally start as soon as possible, and with no pre-specified duration of the internship. We would expect a minimum 6-month commitment, but would prefer the intern to stay with us for longer. If the intern performs well, there could be opportunities for full-time employment post graduation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Business development: The intern will, in coordination with the Sales Manager, attend industry events in the Boston metropolitan region, with the intent of building relationships with potential clients. Successful candidates possess the ability to confidently and succinctly pitch potential clients on what Cogniance offers, and are comfortable networking with startup founders.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lead generation: The intern will identify companies of interest in the Northeastern US region, identify and attempt to communicate with the appropriate decision makers in the company, and provide the Sales Manager with qualified client prospects. &amp;amp;nbsp;Successful candidates possess the ability to conduct thorough and structured market research, as well as the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with prospective clients.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you are interested in this position, please send a detailed CV and cover letter to ksoerensen@cogniance.com with “BD Intern Boston” in the email subject line. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;PLEASE NOTE that there is no application deadline, and candidates will be evaluated on a rolling basis.
