Senior Data Architect / Database Engineer in San Francisco

We are looking for a Senior Data Architect / Database Engineer who wants to flex and extend their leadership muscles and technical expertise in large scale database architectures and data solutions. As you work across multiple data systems (MySQL, Oracle, SimpleDB, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.) and functional teams on data model and schema design, performance optimizations, and data intensive tasks and architecture components, you will be able to display the depth and breadth of your experience and skills from design through implementation and maintenance. After you analyze and understand the Eventbrite business, product and engineering processes, you will design solutions, databases and data schemas, stores and methods to support them.

This role requires that you work with all functional teams to set up, maintain and support databases and all data and database related tasks. Responsibilities include monitoring of the databases, set up of database clusters, and backup and recovery processes. You will also iteratively define and improve our best practices for data and database activities. Candidates must have strong database and software design, development and architecture skills. Extensive experience with MySQL is required.
