Expert Lead .NET Programmer For Web Startup in Chapel Hill

We are looking for a lead programmer to take over many of the programming responsibilities for a sports based social networking website. You should be a programming all-star! We need you to be very experienced in ASP.NET, AJAX, C#, and MS SQL.You will probably be the only full-time onshore resource and should be able to leverage our current offshore team. Note that we are looking for a “roll up your sleeves and get the job done” person. Although you will be directing our offshore team we expect you to do most of the difficult programming.

This is an excellent opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a fast growing sports oriented social networking site. Our website has over 20,000 users and is very rapidly growing, so you should be well versed at code and database optimization and you should know how to perform load tests to ensure that our site can handle our expected huge increase in traffic over the coming months (we want the site to be able to handle at least 150,000 users)

Telecommuting is possible, but we will need to have a lot of contact with you and regular updates to make sure that your development and everything on our site is running smoothly.

IMLeagues is used by over 100 US Colleges and Universities to run their intramural sports programs (on pace for 200 by September). We give students a better way to sign up for sports and interact with teammates and the community at large, while at the same time providing intramural directors at colleges a free website to fully manage their intramural sports programs online - our goal is to do for intramural sports what Yahoo and ESPN have done for fantasy sports. Our users are 99% current college students who play intramural sports, and since we are the official intramural sports website for every school using us you can be sure that our content is always the most family friendly.

We will give you a list of schools using our site to help you narrow your advertiser search, but advertisers can be anyone from a major sports drink company (preferred) down to a local pizza place near one of the schools using us. This is a straight commission job, but because of that we will offer a very high commission rate, and we have a large user base, a coveted demographic for advertisers, and we will be hiring very few sales reps.

No travel is needed, all you need is to be great at sales, have previous experience, have access to a computer, and have access to a phone.
