Justin.tv is a Y-Combinator and Alsop Louie funded startup building the destination site for broadcasting and watching live video online. While the press may write otherwise, at our core we are a technology company and as such we have built:

* Python Media Server - a live flash broadcasting and archiving server capable of serving tens of thousands of simultaneous live video streams (we hold the industry record for most simultaneous live flash viewers supported)

* JTV Twisted Chat Server - a custom chat server that implements a wide variety of filtering and moderation techniques and receives over a million messages a day

* Javascript Chat Client - a fully featured chat client that integrates seamlessly into the page

* Python Video Multiplexer - software that can multiplex a single stream of video across multiple ethernet interfaces

Linux Systems Administrator in San Francisco

Accordingly, we need more and more advanced tools to control deployment, monitoring, and provide analysis into what is going on.
