Are you an experienced web developer who wants to build something awesome, from the ground up? We're looking for a contractor-to-hire to transform our simple but extremely compelling consumer service from the concept stage to an operational site in 4 - 6 weeks.

You will work with our top-notch designer and senior technical guru to write a well-documented spec and execute it with a streamlined approach.

We're looking for experienced, entreprenurial talent - you need to have links to up and running sites you've built, preferably web 2.0 consumer-facing sites. Note this is not just a presentation-style website. Ideally you will have built applications with profiles, charts and eCommerce functionality.

Drupal & Rails experience are greatly preferred. Facebook application development experience is also a big plus.

This is a paid project, with the potential for equity and full-time employment.

If so, give us a call! We are a couple of entrepreneurs on the cusp of something really BIG.

Our company is going after one of the biggest environmental challenges of our time, carbon reduction, with a bold approach. Shhhh! The details are still top secret, but we can tell you from our years of marketing and web development experience that it takes the best facets of web 2.0 and leaves the rest.

That brings us to you. You should be a WEB DEVELOPER/CODER that can handle interactions between server-side frameworks, a web server and a database system. Some prior work experience is a plus, but will also consider exceptional recent computer science graduates and current students with something of a track record.

Specifically, you should possess or even brag about the skills and experience,

-Front and back end web development experience
-CSS, XHTML, JavaScript (AJAX, EXT-JS, JQuery,...), Flash and Adobe Suite Experience (AIR, Flex is a plus)
-Know how to manage data interaction between relational databases and a Java based application (SQL, Hibernate ...), but not necessarily write the underlying code
-Website design background is very welcomed
-Experience with integration of third party applications / data retrieval through web services and API's (Google API , Facebook API)
-Passion for environmental issues is a big plus

You will be responsible for executing our technical specification and report directly to our CTO. There will be PLENTY of opportunity to get creative and contribute ideas to the user experience/interface, but we are primarily looking for someone to execute our well-documented vision over the next several months.

This is a PAID full time gig, but we will consider experienced contractors who can commit the necessary resources. Also, we are a startup, so any compensation would likely be a mix of cash and equity.
