Direct Sales Manager in New York

Snooth (snooth.com), the largest wine site in the world, is looking for a highly talented and motivated Direct Sales Manager. This position will be responsible for selling Snooth's online ad inventory as well as working cooperatively with the Marketing Director to design and sell integrated marketing packages to winery trade groups.

The Direct Sales Manager position will work alongside a dedicated team to drive Snooth's growth. Snooth has proven revenue streams but it is up to this person to expand the client list and develop and maximize new sources of revenue.

This is a new position at Snooth - we are looking for a highly motivated hunter type who is hungry and does not take no for an answer. Snooth is a fast growing brand with a highly desirable demographic, but is still relatively new to the advertising world. You must be able to turn an initial No into Yes.

Snooth's team is smart, ambitious, and passionate; the environment is relaxed and a lot of fun despite lots of tight deadlines. We are focused on quick, quality completion of projects and excited by what we do. If you like wine, that's always a plus.

Software Engineer, Front-End in New York

Snooth is seeking an experienced front-end engineer to help build and maintain the world's largest wine review site. You'll work alongside a smart, dedicated team of designers and engineers to build the next generation of the site. If you enjoy the challenges and opportunity of working with a startup with the benefits of a mature company, Snooth may be for you. Candidates should have at least 2-3 years of professional experience working with PHP, SQL and Javascript. Specific experience with PostgreSQL, Smarty, and MooTools/jQuery is a plus. Duties will include developing site features and taking part in high level software architecture projects. Experience working with Perl and Java are helpful but not a requirement.

The engineering environment at Snooth is fast paced and exciting. If you are interested in finding scalable ways to approach everything you do from shopping for groceries to building databases, you're exactly the type of engineer we are hoping to find.

You'll work alongside a smart and dedicated team of designers and engineers to build the next generation of the site. If you enjoy the challenges and opportunity of working with a startup with the benefits of a mature company, Snooth may be for you. Candidates should have at least 2-3 years of professional experience working with semantic and cross-browser HTML and CSS. The ability to hand code standards compliant HTML is a requirement. You should be as comfortable in Photoshop as you are in a text editor.
