Summer Internship for Aggressive Startup in Times Square in New York

Aggressive Start-up Tech-Entertainment company looking for a full time summer intern. The founders are from the hedge fund and entertainment industries (very successful, hard working individuals). The intern will be working directly with the CEO in a assistant capacity to make sure his projects are on schedule.

We are located in the Viacom building in the heart of Times Square. This position has the possibility to turn into a full time position at the end of the summer for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Various administrative office tasks as needed and personal errands, handling film crew on shoots, online and offline research

Familarity with office programs (excel, microsoft, etc) is a plus.

Technical Lead for Ambitous Startup in New York

Our NYC start-up seeks a technical principal for the development of a web-based consumer application. We are looking for someone with the ability to design and build from scratch, using mostly open source code, a highly scalable, secure database network that is simultaneously accessible by many mobile users. Previous start-up experience is preferred, but the following are crucial:

- a high degree of motivation
- exceptional coding skills (breadth and depth)
- the capability and maturity necessary to manage a team of programmers
- the ability to attract other talent
- long-term leadership potential
- the business acumen to weigh in on all important strategic decisions
- excellent personal references

This is a great opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up. It will be an enormously fun experience, but this is a big job, and we need someone with ambition. Equity, salary and benefits are negotiable, but candidates that are hungry for equity and have a bootstrapping mentality will be a better fit in the initial stage. Our short-term goal is to complete the development of a stripped-down mobile application this summer, before pursuing any additional funding that may be necessary to ramp up in the fall.
